Physical Chemistry >> Notes

I've written a number of supplemental notes for this course.  Here's a list of them and the formats in which they are available.   The reason for so many formats is that different persons have different needs.  The on-line HTML will take you to web page versions of the notes that you can read "live", while the pdf link will take you to a downloadable pdf file that you can read off-line or even print, if you so desire.  The primary source for all of thse is postscript, and so that's been made available as well.  Last, because I personally find the HTML version easiest to read, I've created zipped files of those if you want them.  The table below shows all the current possibilities.   In that table the numbers in the several of the columns indicate the size of the download in bytes (k standing for kilobytes).

I strongly encourag all of you to download and print a copy of Mathematical Necessities for Thermodynamics. It will prove invaluable in the course. The material titled Gans's Ideosyncratic Thermodynamic Text is just that: a somewhat detailed discussion of basic thermodynamic ideas corresponding to the first few chapters in this course. It is unfinished and what you see is what you get.

The other material fleshes out topics named with material that we cannot completly cover in class.
